The London Business School (LBS) Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is ranked as the best two-year MBA degree program in the world by Forbes. According to the Financial Times and Bloomberg, the school is also listed among the leading business schools on the planet. Designed as an experiential program focused on leadership and development education, the LBS MBA program provides a unique combination of learning opportunities that balance theory with practice. This two-year degree program is highly flexible, and can be customized to the learning goals and career aspirations of each student.

The first year of the LBS MBA program provides a strong foundation in techniques and concepts related to global general management and business fundamentals. Year two of the program provides students with the opportunity to choose from a diverse range of electives, or alternatively to focus their studies in a specific area. During the second year, many students choose the Business Project elective, which enables them to gain experience working on authentic commercial challenges faced in the business world. The second year of the MBA study program may also involve participation in a Global Business Experience or international exchange. Past exchange programs have been held in locations such as Johannesburg and Mumbai.

Participation in the LBS MBA program provides students with the opportunity to explore different career paths while building their global contact network. Students also gain access to potential employers and top recruiters and are invited to engage in job skill training offered through the school’s Career Centre. Boasting a 90 percent employment rate within four months following graduation, the program is regarded as career-transforming and life-changing. The degree is desirable to students who are aiming for international mobility, since it offers an education in general management but provides a global perspective, rather than one that is primarily American or European.

Students enrolled in the LBS MBA program have five years of prior work experience on average and are typically in the early phase of their careers. Students who enter the program are often hoping to enhance their career prospects, make a change in their career or the industry in which they work, or become an entrepreneur. The LBS MBA arms graduates with the skills they need to work in diverse cultures and varied locations.

Open to students with undergraduate degrees from all areas, the MBA offered at LBS also accepts students without an undergraduate degree but who have an exceptional career record. Past students accepted into the LBS MBA program have possessed career experience in a diverse array of areas including finance, healthcare, government, and even sports. Participants in the LBS MBA program come from all parts of the globe, and often bring their spouses or families with them to live in London with them during their studies. Each year, 90 percent of program participants are from outside the UK.

The MBA courses offered at LBS are taught by a faculty that is highly respected and largely comprised of professionals who consult with organizations operating in governments around the world and the corporate and financial sectors. Since its inception, over 46,000 students have graduated from LBS.
